Please do not forget to register at the Student Health Centre (BLOCK G) for all of your medical needs and advice. The services we provide are tailored specifically to students.
We have registration packs available to pick up from the student and wellbeing reception desk and at the Health Centre.

Some appointments will be available at the Monkgate surgery the WC 17th December and Reception will be open to take calls and answer queries on the 17th and 18th.
If you need to order your prescription please do not leave it till the last minute as we will not be able to turn it around quickly enough for you. We need 48 working hours.

If you are unwell while at home please only Temporary Register with the GP otherwise you will be deducted at this surgery and have to Re-Register.

Hep B Dates
Clinic Dates Friday 28th September and Friday 26th October
1st year students book need to book both.
2nd year+ need to book on the 26th Oct as they may have had one already last year.
We have be put on a TB Clinic for O/T and Physio students+Masters.
Dates are Monday 1st Oct and Wednesday 3rd Oct AM only for both and you must be able to attend both days. If you are unable to attend both days will result in the test invalid and you will have to wait until we put another clinic on which will be early November.
Students can now register online for the student health centre using our new service from campus doctor. It's a quick and easy way for new and returning students to register with the surgery. We do suggest you don't register using this system until 7th,8th and 9th of September as you will be removed from your current surgery.
MSK Physio Referral
There is a new comprehensive website for self-help for MSK problems. There is lots of advice on the page relating to MSK issues and you can now self-refer for the physio service too. Just follow the link here.
We need time to be able to issue a repeat prescription, as they need to be signed by a doctor and in some cases, they will need to be reviewed. If you are on regular medication, it is your responsibility to make sure that you do not run out of your mediation. Request your repeat prescription in plenty of time (a couple of weeks before you run out), or if you need a review (such as those on the pill) make sure you book an appointment in good time. It can take up to a week to get an appointment when we are busy, so think ahead!
Do you suffer from a long-term condition?
If you suffer from a long-term condition and are on regular medication, it is important that you register with us straight away and make an appointment with the nurse. This is so that we can regularly review your condition and medication. We also have a Long Term Conditions page which provides lots of useful information.
